Chrysalis

Birth is a portal.  This is your preparation.

February 18-22, 2027, Oaxaca, Mexico

If you’re a pregnant person or couple who’s ready to transform anxiety and overwhelm into calm confidence, enter the Chrysalis and learn how to begin parenthood with courage, clarity, and connection.

Why join us?

Let’s face it – Becoming a parent is a big f*cking deal.
Not just the birth—not just the baby—
But the total identity shift that’s happening inside you,
whether you’ve named it or not.

You’re not just preparing for labor.

You’re preparing for the moment everything changes.

And if you’re anything like the thousands of families we’ve supported—

you want to feel grounded, connected, and supported…

not overwhelmed, anxious, or winging it.

This is a retreat for couples who understand
that birth is not merely a medical event—
It is a transformation,
a ceremony,
a becoming.

That’s why we created The Chrysalis Retreat.

A 5-day deep-dive for expecting couples and pregnant people
who want to meet the threshold and enter parenthood

with reverence, confidence, clarity, and teamwork—
without losing themselves in the process.

Imagine…

You wake slowly in a small, sun-warmed cottage, wrapped in a kind of quiet that settles deep into your bones. Crickets sang you into sleep, and their echo still lingers in the morning air.

Soft light filters in, dappling the walls, as if the day itself is honoring the threshold you are crossing. There is nowhere you need to be, nothing you need to do.

Inside this living chrysalis, your shoulders soften. Your breath deepens. Your nervous system begins to remember what it feels like to be held, supported, and safe enough to unfold. And your baby feels all of this.

Imagine…

You move through the morning unhurried. The scent of green rises around you. Lush landscapes and sky stretch wide, inviting your gaze to soften. The land speaks in a language older than words—and something in you listens.

At Centro Nierika your senses awaken. Warm spices curl through the air— herbal teas, organic cardamom coffee. Colorful gardens a living testament to creativity and community.  You break bread and share deeply in circles with other expectant couples.

The day turns gently inward. You are guided through the landscapes of body, heart, and mind—learning ancient maps for modern birth, remembering what your body already knows.

I'm ready to enter the Chrysalis...

Are you feeling…

Decision fatigue? Anxiety? Information overload?
And the quiet terror of getting this wrong?

You’re trying to make the right choices—but every choice feels loaded.

  • Where should I give birth?
  • Who can I trust to really hold me?
  • Which tests are necessary—and which ones just add fear?
  • Who belongs in the room?
  • How do I protect my baby and myself?

The more you search for answers, the further you drift from your own inner knowing.

“I want it all to go smoothly… but I feel like I’m fraying at the edges.”

Underneath the logistics lives a deeper fear:

  • Fear that birth will break you instead of initiate you
  • Fear of losing yourself to motherhood/parenthood
  • Fear of postpartum mental illness swallowing you whole

You want to trust yourself.
But your intuition feels drowned out by pressure, perfectionism, and a lifetime of “shoulds.”

This is the moment Chrysalis was created for.

“I want to walk away from birth feeling like I touched the sacred.”

This retreat isn’t just about birth.

It’s about the parent you are becoming.

You leave with:

  • Deep trust in your body and its wisdom
  • Tools to quiet the mental spiral and stay anchored even in uncertainty
  • Clear, embodied understanding of your options—without fear-based pressure
  • Supportive preparation for postpartum so you don’t collapse afterward
  • A felt sense of community and belonging
  • A vision of motherhood that includes you, not erases you

Instead of fighting your way through birth, you arrive anchored.

Instead of fearing postpartum, you feel resourced.

Instead of losing yourself, you meet yourself more fully than ever.

You don’t just prepare for birth. You prepare to thrive on the other side.

This experience is for me...

Why Centro Nierika…

Located in a natural paradise in the mountains of central Mexico, Centro Nierika is an eco-center dedicated to personal growth, spirituality, healing arts and therapeutic sciences.

It’s an ideal natural setting for retreats and ceremonies with ecological facilities and beautiful gardens.

Nierika Center is a safe, ecologically and culturally-rich oasis neighboring a pilgrimage sanctuary site with a history that dates back thousands of years to Mexico’s ancient cultures.

Nestled in the Chichinautzin natural reserve 2 hours south of Mexico city, we are located in a lush subtropical watershed rich valley with springs and waterfalls. Ancient myths and archetypes live on in nearby historic world-heritage sites, temples and spiritual pilgrimage routes. Sacred sites such as Xochicalco, Malinalco, Chalma, have a mythical history from ancient cultures such as Toltecs & Aztecs, that still resonates in the surroundings.

I'm ready for Chrysalis!

“But what if…?”

“I don’t have the time.”

You’re already spending time—lying awake at night, spiraling through decisions, carrying chronic fear in your body.  Chrysalis doesn’t add more effort.

It gives you relief, clarity, and space—often replacing months of anxiety with grounded trust.

“I’m not sure I can afford this.”

The real question isn’t the cost of the retreat—it’s the cost of not doing this kind of multilevel preparation. Unprocessed fear and lack of support don’t disappear on their own. They often show up later as traumatic birth, postpartum anxiety or depression, and long-term depletion. This is an investment in your health, your baby’s beginning, and your family’s foundation.

“Will this work for me?”

You don’t need to be spiritual.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.

Chrysalis is designed for women who feel overwhelmed, anxious, perfectionistic, unsure—but deeply committed to showing up whole.

You don’t come here to be fixed. You come to be held while you remember what you already know.

“Common questions…”

Do I need to be planning a home birth?

No. Chrysalis supports you, not a specific birth location. This is about trust, embodiment, and preparation—wherever and however you give birth.

What if I’ve already had a traumatic birth?

You are especially welcome. This space honors your history and helps you rebuild safety, trust, and confidence—without forcing you to relive anything.

Is this just birth education?

No.  At Chrysalis, we address information overload with embodied movement. We help you come home to yourself—where clarity and trust already live.

This isn’t simply about being informed; this is about being prepared.
Prepared in your body. Your nervous system. Your sense of self.

This is nervous-system regulation, embodiment, emotional preparation, and postpartum foresight—integrated with grounded, real-world wisdom.

What if I’m scared I’ll lose myself in motherhood?

That fear is exactly why this retreat exists. Chrysalis is about becoming a mother without disappearing.

What if I’m not sure I deserve this level of support?

That belief is part of what we gently unravel here.
